SABERTOOTH TECHNOLOGY

The MAX-Tension Energy Absorbing Coupler is fitted with a patent pending galvanized Sabertooth. When the system is impacted head-on, the Sabertooth is engineered to cut the downstream guardrail to aid in the deceleration of an errant vehicle.

The MASH compliant MAX-Tension™ TL-3 tangent end terminal, with Sabertooth technology, features the next level of impact performance and an ultra-slim design. The system utilizes a tension-based design along with an energy absorbing coupler that features an all new cutting tooth design. When impacted head-on, deceleration is controlled by friction developed in the tension cables and by cutting the downstream guardrail panels. When a side impact occurs, tension cables can help safely redirect a motorist away from the hazard.

In addition, the MAX-Tension TL-3 terminal utilizes standard guardrail components for significant savings in inventory and maintenance costs. Nuisance impacts during snow removal and maintenance operations can also be minimized due to the narrow design of the MAX-Tension Impact Head.

X-Tension Non-Gating End Terminal

THE ONLY REDIRECTIVE, NON-GATING END TERMINAL

The X-Tension Terminal has been specifically engineered for easy installation and maintenance cost savings. Superior redirective, non-gating performance means clear zone grading begins at post one rather than post three on conventional gating terminals.  The System design consists of a high percentage of common guardrail components and a lightweight impact head. These features combined with interchangeability between tangent and flared systems helps keep inventory costs low, results in less installation hours, less grading hours and repair cost savings. The X-Tension Terminal is available with either wood or steel posts and with either wood or composite blockouts.

REDIRECTIVE, GATING NCHRP 350 TL-3 END TERMINA

The Redirective, Gating, X-LITE Guardrail End Terminal features excellent impact performance. Utilizing superior engineering design, the X-LITE Guardrail End Terminal provides maximum interchangeably for flared and tangent roadside applications. This results in significant savings in inventory, repair and maintenance costs.

The X-LITE Terminal uses standard guardrail components and is available with steel posts and wood or composite blockouts.
